Exchange Club of Manasota East		This business club was chartered by the National Exchange Club in the spring of 2006 and is one of some 800 clubs across the nation. This local Exchange Club is a closed category organization, meaning it welcomes only one business per business type. The strength of this organization is not only the business transacted between its members, but the referrals brought in by the members for others in the club. The Exchange Club of Manasota East has adopted a community project, namely support of the Family Partnership Center, a prevention of child abuse non-profit organization working with 1,100 families in the area.	172

American Association of University Women - Manatee Branch	Civic Organizations	The American Association of University Women promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. Through our fundraising efforts we give scholarships to local girls and women, sponsor the Math Super Stars math competition with the School Board of Manatee County and other programs. We are involved in many activities that affect in a positive manner education, culture, and societal change in Manatee County. Our meetings include a brunch, informational guest speaker(s) and a business meeting. We have interest groups that meet at other times. Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch		Part of the oldest service club organization in the world, the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch follows the international motto of "Service Above Self" by providing time and resources to support local and international charities. The Annual Suncoast Wine Festival and other efforts have provided more than $400,000 in grants to area schools, youth programs and assistance to the elderly, as well as PolioPlus, ShelterBox, international clean water well programs,etc. This 6 year old club is comprised of nearly 80 energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated members who make a difference in our community.	116

Bradenton Ballroom Club	Hobbies	The Bradenton Ballroom Club is an effort to share information, principally by the website and e-mails, by which those interested in ballroom dance opportunities in the Bradenton, Florida area can share their interests and support local ballroom dance events and programs. It is a virtual club with no dues and no meetings. On Thursday evenings, at 7 PM the club hosts Practice Dances to recorded music at the Bradenton Womans Club at 1705 Manatee Avenue West. The cost is $5 pp. Dancers are invited to stay for the semi-private lesson by Kiril Arsov from 8:30 PM until 9:30 PM for an additional $10.	157

Most of our group are also members of FTR (Florida Trail Riders) which is a state wide organization. We sponsor races through our club and also support and attend other club events. Int'l Medical Society-LECOM School of Osteopathic Medicine		The LECOM International Medical Society (IMS) was originally founded in Erie, PA in 1998 as a way to promote the mutual understanding of medicine as it exists throughout the world. LECOM Bradenton chartered an International Medical Society in the fall of 2004. The primary goal of the IMS is to expand the medical education of the students by giving them the opportunity to experience the medical profession beyond the borders of the United States. The Empty Nesters of Lakewood Ranch	Senior Citizens	Who We Are The Empty Nesters of Lakewood Ranch was formed in November 1999 with the goal to have fun, keep active, and love the Florida lifestyle that we all worked so hard to obtain. Today, we have over 150 members and are growing rapidly. We are couples, singles, retired and semi-retired Lakewood Ranch residents who enjoy being with people. We are always planning events and activities which include: guest speakers at our meetings; shows at the Golden Apple, Asolo, Van Wezel and other area theaters; sunset picnics at Siesta Key; adventure trips to the Everglades; adventure outings to our State Parks; Sarasota Bay Cruises; Holiday Parties and many more exciting activities throughout the year. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the Town Hall at 1:00 PM. They are great social get-togethers and activity planning sessions as well as enjoyable potluck luncheons. Bonzai Volleyball Academy	Sports	Bonzai Volleyball Academy offers an affordable opportunity for teenage girls to participate in a fun, friendly, yet challenging environment where they can learn and master the skills and strategies of competitive volleyball. Girls will be taught proper technique and principles of the game by two of the best coaches in the area. Coach Carmine Garofalo, brings over 20 years of high level international coaching and playing experience. Having coached at the High School, College and University levels both in Florida and Canada, Coach Garofalo’s wealth of experience can help any player achieve her maximum potential. Coach Sylvie Garofalo was not only an All-American while playing at FIU, but also one of the top volleyball players in Canada. Her knowledge and experience is only surpassed by her ability to relate to every player and to instill the love and passion of the game in them! Manatee Adult Baseball League		Founded in 1992, it has been the mission of the Manatee Adult Baseball League to provide a wholesome recreational participatory wooden bat baseball program for adults of all ages where the enjoyment of the game for all players of both teams is of the highest priority. No trophies and no significant prizes are awarded. We believe that baseball is a journey; not a destination. The Stageworks Players at Lakewood Ranch		For those who love to act, we provide a safe and nurturing and fun environment in which to do so. Forty people attended our first show, which was a series of 4 comic and serious rehearsed readings. Called "Couples," the show was well received and the audience asked us when our next show will happen. Come give us ideas, plan with us and join us.	78
Mommy and Me of Bradenton	Womens / Moms	"We are a group of Manatee County moms! We like to gather for playdates, walking, trips to local attractions and other fun activities! We are moms who want to get out and live life while raising loving, respectful and happy children. Our group is dedicated to moms with little ones who want and need support. We support each other through online chats, weekly kid outings, and monthly mom nights out. Our online chats are discussions on various topics and subjects. This is a fun way for moms to interact between playdates. The kid outings are at various locations throughout Sarasota/Bradenton and scheduled at least once per week. The times and days change depending on the weekly event. Lastly, our MNOs are held monthly. The MNO is an event like dinner, pottery painting, cooking class, etc. and held at different locations."
